On September 16, 2026, the Flanders Semiconductor Forum will take place at the Lamot Conference Center in Mechelen. Within the DISCOVER program, representatives of all five Chips JU pilot lines and the European Chips Design Platform (EuroCDP) present themselves at one location. For companies and researchers who want to know which European infrastructure is accessible to them, this is a rare opportunity: normally these initiatives are spread over different countries and events.
The DISCOVER program brings together the European pilot lines and the design platform set up under the EU Chips Act. These initiatives provide companies, startups, SMEs, and research organizations access to facilities, technology, and expertise that are difficult to organize individually.
The following initiatives are present:
NanoIC pilot line — supports the development and commercialization of systems-on-chip beyond 2 nm.
FAMES Pilot Line — develops advanced FD-SOI technology for a stable European supply of next-generation semiconductors.
APECS Pilot Line — focuses on advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration.
WBG Pilot Line | future power electronics — focuses on wide bandgap semiconductor technology for power electronics.
PIXEurope — focuses on advanced photonics integrated circuits (PIC).
EuroCDP - EU Chips Design Platform — offers startups, SMEs, researchers, and innovators access to IC design tools, IP, training, and manufacturing services.
During presentations and networking moments, each initiative will discuss its offerings, how companies and researchers can access the services, what collaboration opportunities exist, and how this European infrastructure can contribute to innovation trajectories.

The role of ChipNL Competence Centre
ChipNL CC will be present with its own stand at the Flanders Semiconductor Forum. As a national semicon hub, we help companies, startups, SMEs, and knowledge institutions navigate the Dutch and European semicon landscape. At this forum, the five Chips JU pilot lines and EuroCDP stand alongside each other, making it a great place to discuss which route fits your needs.
