On 10 and 11 December 2025, ChipNL CC will welcome the Fraunhofer / FMD APECS delegation for a two-day incoming mission to Nijmegen and Enschede. This visit brings one of Europe’s leading microelectronics alliances into direct contact with the Dutch high-tech and semiconductor ecosystem. The mission aims to deepen collaboration, build new connections, and encourage knowledge exchange that benefits companies, research institutes and innovators across our community.
Why this incoming mission matters for the Netherlands
The arrival of the Fraunhofer / FMD APECS delegation reinforces the international position of the Netherlands within the European semiconductor value chain. For our community, this mission provides:
Access to international expertise
Dutch organisations gain insight into European developments in packaging, photonics, design and manufacturing equipment.New opportunities for collaboration
The mission opens doors for matchmaking, joint research initiatives and technological development.Strengthening of European networks
The visit illustrates that the Netherlands plays an active role within the European Chips Act and is part of a broader infrastructure of pilot lines and competence centres.Visibility for Dutch strengths
Companies and research institutes can position their unique capabilities within a European context.
These opportunities are especially valuable for SMEs, startups, scale-ups and researchers. They gain access to insights, contacts and future collaboration pathways that might otherwise be difficult to reach.
