The course for the European semiconductor industry in 2026 is taking shape. The Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) has announced new calls for research and innovation. For the Dutch ecosystem, from SMEs and startups to knowledge institutions, there are plenty of opportunities to contribute to Europe's technological autonomy through this funding.

De calls voor 2026 dekken de volledige breedte van de halfgeleidersector. Er wordt specifiek ingezet op domeinen waar de Nederlandse expertise een cruciale rol speelt:
Next-generation communicatie: Ontwikkelingen in 6G en edge computing.
Specialisaties: Power electronics, fotonica en embedded software.
Maatschappelijke applicaties: Innovaties in health, mobility en energie-efficiëntie.

Although the major brokerage events for this year have already taken place, the intensive phase of consortium formation is now starting. ChipNL CC acts as a guide and facilitator for:
