TechWorks is organizing the Semiconductors to Systems Summit (S2S26) in London on August 26, 2026, in partnership with the UK Semiconductor Centre. For the first time, the UK industry organizations NMI, DESN, AESIN, and IoTSF are combining their conferences into one summit for the entire chain from semiconductors to systems. For the Dutch semiconductor ecosystem, this is an opportunity to make international contacts outside the EU.
Context
TechWorks is the British trade association for the deeptech sector. S2S26 marks the 30th anniversary of the organization and, for the first time, brings together the conferences of NMI, DESN, AESIN, and IoTSF under one roof.
What happened?
The event consists of four parallel conference tracks: Build (materials, manufacturing, advanced packaging), Create (systems, integration, verification), Secure (cyber resilience and AI threats), and Scale (investment, commercialization, skills, and international partnerships). More than 600 leaders from 300+ companies, 70+ exhibitors, and 5 countries are expected.
Why is this relevant to the ecosystem?
For SMEs and startups in the Dutch semiconductor chain, the event provides access to potential customers, partners, and investors in the UK market. Knowledge institutions will find a broad overview of current technological and market developments in the chain. For policymakers and partners, it is an opportunity to explore international collaboration and market positions outside the EU.
European context
The United Kingdom is not part of the EU, but the British semiconductor sector closely collaborates with the European deeptech chain. S2S26 attracts international delegations from multiple countries, also making the event a platform for broader international cooperation around the EU Chips Act agenda.
